The True "Eternal Lamp"

A lamp symbolizes the brightness of one's true nature, just like the wisdom of Vajra Prajna that can illuminate and dispel the darkness of ignorance. Lighting a lamp is, in essence, igniting the ever-present inner light of our true self—this is the real "Eternal Lamp."

When we light incense or offer lamps to pay respect to the Buddha, it is not because the Buddha needs these offerings, but because we ourselves do. What we are truly offering is our sincerity, reverence, and purity of heart. All Dharma and all benefits arise from a mind filled with respect and clarity.

真正的“长明灯”

灯，象征光明自性，如金刚般若智慧一样能照破无明黑暗。点灯，就是点燃我们自性的常住心灯，这才是真正的“长明灯”。点香、供灯敬佛，其实佛并不需要这些，是我们自己需要；我们供的是自己的虔诚、恭敬和清净心，一切法、一切利益都从恭敬心、清净心中得到。
